The history of Maison Annabi dates back to 1986, when the founder Monsieur Béchir Annabi, also known as "Si Béchir", started working with crystal after a trip to Eastern Europe. However, given the fragility of this material, Si Béchir quickly wanted to explore a greater variety of shapes and colors that could be personalized endlessly. Thus, Si Béchir very quickly became the king of blown glass in Tunisia thanks to his mastery of this age-old art and his limitless imagination. Suspensions, wall sconces, table lamps… It is in the lights and the Murano school that Si Béchir found his first letters of nobility.

If Béchir has worked on flagship projects such as the decoration of reference hotels, in particular the Hotel Residence in Tunis and the Odyssey of Zarzis , the Africa Jade of Korba … in collaboration with talented architects. Thanks to his erudition, he was able to express all his culture in his products and create inimitable collections.

Always in search of new challenges, Si Béchir continued by promoting his own art by opening a network of shops in Tunisia under the name "Negrat" , which means love at first sight in Arabic and which has marked its territory in Tunisia ( La Marsa , Djerba, The Medina of Tunis ). Si Béchir is an elusive artist who has managed to create a unique and innovative brand by combining tradition and modernity in his approach to the art of blown glass.

With his inexhaustible desire for creation, Si Béchir explored new horizons in his art by working with different materials. His mastery of blown glass has allowed him to experiment with metals such as steel, copper and aluminum, creating vibrant contrasts between metallic textures and glass reflections. But that was not enough for him, and to satisfy his thirst for creativity Si Bechir also explored the possibilities offered by natural materials such as wicker and palm fiber to bring his boldest ideas to life.
